DICKINSON, N.D. — The city of Dickinson will be getting $1.5 million in federal grant money to help its police and fire departments find a new home.

The Energy Infrastructure and Impact grant funds will help the city construct the public safety center, which is slated to be completed in 2014.

City Administrator Shawn Kessel says the more money Dickinson can get to defray expenses, the less it has to come up with in other ways.

The Dickinson Fire Department also applied and received more than $10,500 for oil field emergency training classes.
