Truck crashes into Los Angeles County fire station

The driver of the truck was immediately treated by firefighters at the station

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. — A pickup truck crashed into a Los Angeles County fire station on Thursday.

Officials said the truck crashed into the front of Station 132 on Thursday morning, damaging an exterior wall, according to Patch.com. The driver, who was the only occupant of the truck, was immediately assessed and treated by firefighters at the station. Officials said the driver refused transport to the hospital.

No injuries to firefighters were reported as a result of the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and California Highway Patrol.

Los Angeles County Fire Department officials said the station remained operational after the collision but that the city’s Department of Building and Safety was notified and will assess the structural integrity of the building.
