Mo. firehouse, apparatus, gear destroyed in fire

EMINENCE, Mo. — A volunteer fire department in southern Missouri is devastated after a fire destroyed a firehouse, and the apparatus and equipment inside.

The fire in Eminence began at approximately 5:45 a.m. on Mar. 6, FOX 2 Now reported.

Firefighters from Winona, Ellington, Summersville, Thayer and Timber responded to the fire, KY3 reported. No firefighters were injured during the blaze.

The department’s seven trucks along with hoses, helmets, generators, and other equipment were destroyed. There were no firefighters inside at the time of the fire.

The Eminence department has been receiving donations and calls offering gear and other equipment.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
