Firefighters rescue boy, 9, stuck in tree
Neighbors flagged down firefighters who were leaving a nearby call to help get him down
MANCHESTER, N.H. — Manchester firefighters used the Jaws of Life Monday night to free a young boy who got stuck in a tree.
Firefighters were already close by when 9-year-old Anthony needed help, but that’s actually what got him into the tight spot in the first place. Anthony and his friends had climbed the same tree many times before, but this time, there was a little complication on the way down.
"I was scared that I wouldn't get down at all," said Anthony. Anthony was at a friend's house on Blucher Street on Monday. When the boys saw a fire truck nearby and wanted to know what was going on, they started climbing.
