2 Md. firefighters injured in fire truck crash

LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Two firefighters were injured in a fire truck crash Sunday morning.

Southern Maryland News Net reported that the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department fire truck left the roadway and struck an embankment while responding to an unrelated crash scene.

Two firefighters were transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
