AUSTIN, Texas — One person was seriously injured after a car and a fire truck collided Thursday morning.
KVUE reported that the Austin Fire Department fire truck was heading to an emergency with its sirens on.
As the truck paused to look for oncoming traffic, a white car slammed into the front passenger side of the truck, according to the report. The car spun and the fire truck pushed it about four feet across the road.
The driver of the car was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, and no firefighters were hurt, according to the report.
