ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Domino’s is celebrating Fire Prevention Week for the 10th year in a row by delivering in a fire truck and handing out free pizza to customers with working smoke alarms.

PR Newswire reported that participating Domino’s stores across the country will team up with the National Fire Protection Association and local fire stations to spread fire safety awareness.

Randomly selected customers who order pizza Oct. 8-14 will have their pizza delivered via fire truck.

If the customer’s smoke alarm is in working order, their pizza will be free. If not, firefighters will either replace the batteries in the alarm or install a working one.

“The Fire Prevention Week program is a great way to educate customers about fire safety,” Domino’s spokesperson Jenny Fouracre said. “Every year, Domino’s stores across the country look forward to teaming up with their local fire departments and the NFPA to spread fire safety messages in a fun and exciting way.”
