HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. — A fire truck responding to a call of an overturned semi-truck on Interstate 10 in Hancock County near mile marker 13 lost its hose on Mississippi 603, which may have hit a vehicle and is stalling traffic, a sheriff’s official said.

Chief Deputy Don Bass said the driver of a semi-truck lost control and it turned over, blocking westbound lanes of I-10.

Bass said there may be injuries in the accidents, but none appears to be life threatening.

According to the Mississippi Department of Transportation, northbound lanes of Mississippi 603 are blocked, and delays could last for up to an hour. Bass said drivers should expect delays on I-10 as well. SunHerald.com will update this story as more information becomes available.
