SILO, Okla. — Three firefighters had to be rescued when their fire truck stalled after they drove onto a flooded roadway to check on a stranded vehicle.
News9.com reported that troopers had responded Sunday to a report of the stalled vehicle on State Highway 199, but were unable to reach the vehicle. The troopers then asked for assistance from the nearby Silo (Okla.) Fire Department and the firefighters drove into the water and found the vehicle unoccupied.
The fire truck then stalled and the highway patrol’s marina division sent an airboat and rescued the three firefighters.
There was no information on the occupants of the stalled vehicle.
