McDONALD, Pa. — The Internal Revenue Service wants to seize a 1931 Buffalo Fire Truck owned by the president of the Fort Cherry Ambulance Service Inc. in McDonald, Washington County, according to court documents filed Thursday.
Thomas Bruce owes $1.3 million in federal income taxes, penalties and interest for unpaid taxes on the income he earned from 2000 to 2006 and 2008 and 2010, according to a declaration filed by Joanne R. Nemmer, a revenue officer.
Bruce and his attorney, Donald Calaiaro, couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
Bruce, through Calaiaro, has refused to let the IRS enter his property to seize the vehicle, so the agency is seeking a court order, Nemmer said.
