TRENTON, N.J. — A firefighter was hospitalized with serious injuries after he fell from a fire truck while responding to a fire call Monday.
The firefighter reportedly fell out of the truck as the vehicle went around a curve, reported the New Jersey Online. Trenton Fire Director Qareeb Bashir said the firefighter was transported to a trauma center and is expected to make a full recovery.
Fire officials told the Washington Times the rig in question is a closed cab apparatus with doors that are supposed to securely lock.
The incident is still under investigation and additional details were not immediately available.
