Most apparatus have jump seats that allow an SCBA to be housed for quicker donning. This innovation is useful, but it’s also a hazard if the SCBA isn’t properly secured.
Some brackets in jump seats require a locking strap to wrap around the cylinder. However, these straps are not always fastened firmly and the SCBA could become loose. Newer systems use a redundant locking device and prevent security oversight. Whatever system you have in your apparatus, make sure the SCBAs are secure.
