PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. — A firefighter was sent to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest at a house fire Thursday morning.
The Phoenix reported that firefighters were dispatched to a chimney fire and the firefighter went into sudden cardiac arrest on scene while others were battling the fire.
Emergency personnel performed CPR and used a defibrillator, and the firefighter regained a pulse and consciousness, according to the report.
The firefighter was transported to a hospital for further evaluation. The firefighter’s name has not yet been released.
