Video: Firefighters use CPR to revive cat after house fire

After several minutes of work, firefighters said the cat regained consciousness

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia firefighters say they were able to rescue a cat from a house fire and revive it using CPR.

The blaze took place Wednesday on Tryon Street in the Olympia Community.

When firefighters went inside the building to search it, they found the animal unresponsive. They then took him outside and began using chest compressions and oxygen to revive the cat. After several minutes of work, officers say the cat regained consciousness.
