Globe Manufacturing is using 3M Scotchlite reflective material — Series 5600 Fire Coat Comfort Trim — on its turnout gear.
The stitch-free design eliminates fabric snags, is flexible, durable, provides lasting protection and is less constricting for easier movement. The new features address ongoing requests for gear that helps increase agility, responsiveness and performance during a fire.
The trim meets NFPA requirements without any modification or additional layers. The coat is flame-resistant and durable in extreme conditions. The reflective technology from 3M provides reflectivity in low-light and nighttime conditions to help keep firefighters safe and seen.
The gear will be on display in the 3M booth 701. Attendees can stop by for a hands-on demonstration.
