Pa. volunteer charged with taking fire helmet

He took the Co. 46 marking off of the helmet and attempt to sell it

CARLISLE, Pa. — A volunteer firefighter has been charged with taking a helmet from the West Pennsboro Fire Department and trying to sell it.

Pennsylvania State Police, Carlisle, charged Tyler Kulp, 21, of Carlisle with theft. Kulp on Wednesday took a firefighter helmet from the storage room of the fire house, 14 Park Road, in Cumberland County. He took the Co. 46 marking off of the helmet and attempt to sell it.

Kulp’s membership with the fire company has been suspended until final disposition of the case, police said.
