Retractable Search Line is a Critical Life-Saving Tool for Fire and Urban Search and Rescue Industries

Replacing unwieldy rope bags, TracerLine is a hands-free, auto-retracting, ultra-strong line encased in a fire resistant case that fits on a standard SCBA belt. Rescue Products is making the TracerLine available for the first time at the Fire Rescue International 2011 in Atlanta, GA.

The TracerLine includes a 60-foot, highly reflective line with a 1,400 pound weight rating and a 900 degree heat rating. The retractable line is housed within a casing designed to pass NFPA air pack standards. The lightweight TracerLine attaches to the SCBA or utility belt for hands-free maneuverability, and features a lighted anchor point that chocks the entry door to ensure easy access and exit. A lighted distance counter has different light patterns to ensure that the rescuer knows how far into the structure he or she is. The line retracts quickly in the case of fast exits.
