MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — A fire that destroyed a fire house last week was ruled arson by the state’s fire marshal’s office.
WAFF reported that the fire, which destroyed the Danville Fire Department’s fire house Friday, started around 6:40 a.m. Several agencies responded to the fire. Portions of the highway were closed while firefighters ran hoses across the road to fight the fire, according to the report.
No one was injured in the blaze, but a fire engine and an ambulance were destroyed, according to the report.
Authorities are not releasing details, because the investigation is ongoing. The Alabama State Fire Marshal’s office is seeking information.
