WAYNE, N.J. — A New Jersey fire captain fell through the floor at the scene of a burning condominium building and returned to fight the fire on Monday.
Wayne Fire Department Capt. William Englehardt was uninjured in the fall, according to northjersey.com.
Other firefighters were treated at the scene for heat or exhaustion amid 90 degree temperatures.
More than 100 firefighters responded to the fire, which took more than four hours to put out.
