AURORA, Colo. — Four firefighters were transported to the hospital after their fire truck was hit by a vehicle Sunday afternoon.
9News.com reported that an Aurora Fire Rescue fire truck was en route to a medical emergency when the crash occurred.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the rig was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Four firefighters suffered various injuries, none of which were reported as life-threatening.
The driver was issued a summons for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, according to the report.
The crash remains under investigation.
