Chicago police say the driver lost control of the fire engine before it struck the house

CHICAGO — Two residents of an Auburn Gresham home were displaced Monday night after a Chicago Fire Department truck lost control and struck a home.

The truck was traveling south in the 7700 block of South Damen Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. when it veered into the front of a residence, Chicago police said.

No one was injured during the accident, and detectives were investigating.
