Texas firefighters in stable condition after fire engine rollover
Two Rossville firefighters were injured after a tire blowout caused the driver to lose control

SOMERSET, Texas — Two Rossville, Texas firefighters were injured, one critically, when their fire engine blew a tire and rolled over.
The crash occurred near FM 476 in Somerset at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Aug. 30, 2023, KENS5 reported.
The firefighters were returning from assisting the Lytle Volunteer Fire Department with a structure fire. During the return to the firehouse, a tire blew out causing the driver to lose control. An official on the scene said the fire engine rolled over twice.
NEWS4SA reported that one of the firefighters was taken airlifted to a hospital in critical condition. The other firefighter was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
