OROVILLE, Calif. — Firefighters were captured saving an American flag amidst wildfire flames in an inspiring photo.
KDVR reported that three unidentified firefighters can be seen reaching up and taking the flag down from the side of a home.
Throughout the weekend, the city of Oroville was dubbed the “Wall Fire.” A state of emergency in Butte County was declared by Gov. Jerry Brown after the fire continued to spread.
Thirty-five percent of the fire has been contained after it burned 5,600 acres and destroyed 17 structures.
