Sometimes the very best tool on the fireground is the simplest tool. The pylon is one of our basic tools on the fire truck that is overlooked on many calls.
Whenever we respond to any call involving vehicles or traffic, the pylon will be one of the best tools to use. By placing pylons on the roads, we can control and direct traffic to reduce the risk of motorists crashing into our fire trucks and personnel.
