CONCORD, Mass. — It was a victory Concord firefighter Jarrad Tracy chalks up to his faith, his family and his friends.

Tracy, a Concord firefighter who recently was told by doctors that his cancer was in remission, was allowed to return to full duty with the fire department three weeks ago. It was a long road from diagnosis to recovery, but Tracy said he was able to make it through with faith.

Tracy, 29, joined the Concord Fire Department in October 9, 2006. It was one year later to the day he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Large Cell Lymphoma. The golf-ball sized tumor in his chest showed up as a gray haze on an x-ray.
