KRUM, Texas — One firefighter was taken to a Denton hospital and several others were treated at the scene for heat exhaustion after they fought a barn fire near Krum on Tuesday.
The firefighter sent to the hospital was listed in good condition as of Tuesday evening. No other injuries were reported.
The blaze was reported at about 4 p.m. off Odneal Road, near Krum. Nearby residents said the flames reached several feet in the air, and they feared the flames would spread. However, soon after the fire was reported, firefighters had the fire contained to the barn.
