The last of three firefighters at the center of a sex scandal at a Bronx firehouse has been terminated, the New York City Department of Investigation announced yesterday.

Firefighter Anthony Loscuito, 29, was fired by Fire Department Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta, DOI said in a news release. Fire department officials could not be reached late last night to confirm the dismissal.

Loscuito, 29, and firefighters Christian Waugh, 33, and Tony DeLuca, 36, were associated with an incident on Aug. 20, 2004, at the University Heights firehouse.

The firefighters were alleged to have had sex there with a woman with bipolar illness in a lounge, and with trying to cover up the incident when an investigation was conducted. The woman, whose name was not released, later called the firehouse, a Staten Island newspaper and 911, saying she had been raped. She later recanted some of her story, but an investigation was launched.

Waugh was terminated in December 2004 after he refused to make any statement about the incident to investigators, and DeLuca resigned in lieu of termination in October 2005, the DOI said.
