ESSEX, U.K. — No emergency calls were made to the fire brigade during a one hour strike this morning.

Members of the Fire Brigade Union in Essex walked out between 4-5am today in a dispute over cuts.

Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said there were no fire calls during the industrial action.

Talks with the union are continuing through the government conciliation service ACAS prior to the next planned action, a 24-hour stoppage on July 18.
