ELLSWORTH, Pa. — A firefighter died after experiencing a medical emergency following a vehicle crash response.
Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Department Fire Police Capt. Laron Holcomb died Sept. 4 from an apparent heart attack after returning home from a vehicle crash response.“Laron was a very dedicated volunteer for the Ellsworth VFD, keeping all of our members safe on fire scenes,” a statement from the department read. “No matter what Laron was doing, if you needed him, he would drop everything to come help you. He was like a father to all of our young members. Laron, you will be missed. We got it from here.”
