Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company Announces Vice President of Programs and Vice President of Professional Liability

NOVATO, Calif., (March 12, 2013) – Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company is
pleased to announce the appointments of Jay Dipasupil to vice president of
programs, and Dan Reed to vice president of professional liability.
With more than 25 years of insurance industry experience, Dipasupil will lead
Fireman’s Fund’s programs business. He will be responsible for providing
strategic and operational direction and achieving profitable growth. Most
recently, Dipasupil led the specialty solutions group at Chartis and was
responsible for the development and execution of underwriting, production
and distribution management for its professional liability products. Prior to
Chartis, he held underwriting and leadership roles with Travelers and Zurich.
Dipasupil holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Columbia University,
and is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).
In his new role, Reed will be responsible for managing the professional
liability line of business and driving profitable growth. With more than 20
years of insurance experience and a deep expertise in professional liability,
Reed has managed teams responsible for lawyers’ professional liability,
accountants’ professional liability, real estate errors & omissions, and
insurance agents and brokers errors & omissions. Prior to joining Fireman’s
Fund, Reed worked for Travelers, St. Paul Companies and Great American
Insurance Companies. Reed holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and
Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
