HARVEY PARK, Colo. — A Denver firefighter was overcome by smoke Tuesday and had to be rescued from a burning home in Harvey Park. The firefighter, a 19-year-veteran of the force, was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for smoke inhalation, said Lt. Philip Champagne. “He was in trouble, and they got him out within a minute,” said Champagne, who credited two firefighters for the rescue.The home in the 2300 block of South Tennyson Street was unoccupied at the time of the blaze, which was knocked down in about 15 minutes.
