BILLINGS, Mont. — Firefighters in Montana are honing their skills with a new training simulator.
The $35,000 simulator program is being shared between several regional entities, including the Billings and Lockwood fire departments, Riverstone Health, MSU-B and the local refineries.
It aims to help with communication, strategy and all fire calls, reported KULR-8.
Assistant Fire Chief Frank Odermann said he already seen improvements since firefighters began using their program.
“Overall their level of confidence when you hear them talk on the radio, their command presence is definitely increased significantly,” he said.
