ARCADIA, N.Y. — Two volunteer firefighters were injured while responding to a house fire call Monday morning.
LocalSYR.com reported that the firefighters were in a pickup truck heading to the call when the driver lost control on a curve, hit a guard rail and rolled down a 40-foot embankment.
The driver of the truck, Kyle Verstraete, 24, was transported by helicopter to a hospital. His passenger, Robert Lee, 24, was transported to a hospital by ambulance. Both men are members of the Marbletown Fire Department.
Verstraete is listed in stable condition. Lee was treated and released with minor injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
