DUXBURY, Mass. — A firefighter died Sunday after suffering a medical emergency.
CBS Boston reported that firefighter John Thomas, 56, with the Duxbury Fire Department, was not on-duty or at the fire station at the time of his death.
Duxbury Fire Captain Bob Riordan told CBS reporters that firefighter Thomas died of a “medical condition.” The exact cause is being investigated, Capt. Riordan said.
Firefighter Thomas was a 28-year veteran firefighter and EMT. Funeral arrangements are pending.
