FALLS OF ROUGH, Ky. — A firefighter died Sunday morning after returning home from an emergency response.
Multiple sources reported that firefighter Charles “Charlie” Goff, 53, with the McQuady Volunteer Fire and Rescue, suffered a fatal heart attack after responding to a multiple-vehicle crash.
The crash involved five patients who were critically injured and three had to be extricated, according to reports.
Firefighter Goff had been a member of the department for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife, daughter and son.
