2016 has seen some pretty strange rescues. From a rescue of a man trapped in a McDonald’s drive-thru to firefighters rescuing a deer trapped in a fence, there seems to be no territory firefighters won’t tread to make the save.

1. Responders rescue man trapped in McDonald’s drive-thru
First responders were able to free the unresponsive man by pushing his vehicle away from the wall.
2. Calif. firefighters rescue horse stuck in mud
The horse was walking and standing by the time fire crews and veterinarians pulled her out of the mud. The extent of her injuries is unknown.
3. Firefighters rescue cat stuck in pipe
Chinese firefighters managed to free a cat that became trapped in a pipe.
4. Calif. woman rescued from chimney
Firefighters had to tear down the chimney brick-by-brick to get the woman out.
5. NJ firefighters rescue deer trapped in fence
Totowa firefighters used a hydraulic spreader to free the deer from the fence.
