PORTLAND, Ore. — Firefighters rescued a woman and her dog from a sinkhole Tuesday night.
KATU reported that the woman, who was looking in her back yard for her dog, fell into a 20-foot deep sinkhole.
A neighbor heard her cries for help from the bottom of the pit and called 911, according to the report. Firefighters used ropes and ladders to get her and her small dog out of the hole they were in.
