GALICIA, Spain — A woman, who jumped from a third-floor apartment that caught fire, survived after being caught in sheets by a crowd below.
Deccan Chronicle reported that the 47-year-old woman, dressed only in her underwear, climbed out of the window and was pleading for help. The fire broke out in an electric panel of the apartment, which blocked her exit from a smoke filled room.
In the video, the woman can be seen hanging from the balcony of the apartment. As she tries to balance herself, she loses her grip and falls. She was saved by her neighbors as they held blankets and bed sheets to protect her from hitting the ground.
The woman was taken to a hospital for chest injuries but is reported to be in stable condition.
