LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Ky. firefighter who was driving a fire truck that struck and killed a woman over the weekend will likely not face any criminal charges.
Documents released Thursday say investigators have found “no information or evidence to indicate that criminal charges will be placed against the driver of the vehicle.”
An additional collision report released Thursday said that during the incident Firefighter Chris Presley failed to yield to the right of way and that Lauren Roady, the victim, had a crosswalk signal to walk.
According to the report, Roady was wearing dark clothing and was not visible.
Roady was in Lexington attending a cross-country running event with a group from Washington.
