NORTH NAPLES, Fla. — Firefighters had a close call when their brush truck caught fire Tuesday.
Firefighters were battling a brush fire when North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District Chief James Cunningham saw that they were in danger, reported WINK News.
“B46 get out of the truck! Your truck is on fire,” Chief Cunningham ordered over the radio. “Brush 46 abandon the truck.”
The chief’s warning gave firefighters enough time to evacuate the truck and escape injury.
It is unclear how the rig caught fire; the state fire marshal is investigating the incident.
