FORT WORTH, Texas — Two married members of a Texas volunteer fire department suffered serious injuries after their fire truck crashed.
Firefighters Patrick and Kimberly Anne Dorris, both 43, had to be airlifted to the hospital after the single-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Star-Telegram.
Patrick and Kimberly are some of the newest members of the Brazos Volunteer Fire Department and were taking a new fire truck to get decals.
The apparatus, filled with 3,500 gallons of water, lost control when Kimberly wasn’t able to fully navigate a curve in the road, according to the article. The truck hit a concrete structure with the water causing it to overturn and land on its passenger side.
