Photo of the Week: A generous donation after Ore. fire engine destroyed by wildfire
Calling all fire photographers: FireRescue1 wants to see your pictures! The next time you come across something inspiring, take out the camera and submit it to FireRescue1! Just remember to include your name, agency information and brief background information on the picture.
This week’s Photo of the Week comes from the Idanha-Detroit (Ore.) Rural Fire Protection District, which recently lost one of its fire engines, along with its district office, in a wildfire. Thankfully, the Aurora (Ore.) Fire District stepped up to help, donating one of its engines to the Idanha-Detroit district.
“Our firefighters were overjoyed to receive this very gracious gift, many of us succumbing to tears of gratitude,” the Idanha-Detroit district wrote in a Facebook post.
The donated engine came complete with hoses, nozzles, medical and rescue equipment, and food and water for the Idanha-Detroit firefighting crews.
