PITTSBURGH — A Pittsburgh firefighter convicted in connection with a fight at a Little League field was sentenced to two years probation today.

Michael D. Clark, 43, appeared before Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Kathleen A. Durkin to be sentenced for the 2009 incident at the Brookline Little League Field.

A jury last year convicted Clark of reckless endangerment and possession of marijuana for the incident, in which police said he waved a gun in front of a crowd of children and adults and threatened a man he said had slept with his wife.

When police responded, Clark said he had a permit for the gun but they found a bag of marijuana in his car, according to the arrest affidavit filed to support the charges.

Durkin ordered Clark, who continues to work as a firefighter, to undergo anger management classes and not have any contact with the victims.
