NEW YORK — An FDNY Emergency Medical Technician was arrested Thursday for allegedly hitting Brooklyn hospital worker with a computer tablet, police said.

Colette Palmer, 52, got into an argument with the 24-year-old victim at Brooklyn Hospital Center in Fort Greene on Sunday, officials said.

Palmer, who has been with the FDNY for 11 years, allegedly smacked the hospital employee with the tablet, cops said.

She surrendered Thursday morning and was charged with assault, weapons possession and harassment.

A source said the FDNY was trying to handle the issue internally, but the victim went to police before steps could be taken to resolve the situation.

An FDNY spokesman said that Palmer faces the possibility of suspension pending the outcome of an investigation.
