NORMAN, Okla. — An 18-year-old former volunteer firefighter has been arrested on arson complaints, including one that he deliberately set a locker room fire at the Little Axe Field House.
Danyl Michael Paul Graumann is accused of setting that fire on Aug. 22, as well as four other fires.
Little Axe fire officials said Graumann is a former volunteer firefighter who helped battle some of the fires he is accused of setting.
The Little Axe Field House fire destroyed football equipment and uniforms and caused smoke damage to the locker room. Damages were estimated at about $50,000.
Norman fire marshals determined the fire was deliberately set. In the course of an investigation, officials said, Graumann confessed to starting a fire in a locker.
Graumann also is suspected of arson in fires on July 26 at 16601 NE Becker St.; on Aug. 20 at 5101 180th Ave. NE; on Aug. 28 at 800 NE McKenzie St; and on Sept. 4 at 801 NE McKenzie St., officials said.
