LIMESTONE, Maine — A volunteer firefighter suffered facial burns after a propane tank explosion.
Bangor Daily News reported that firefighters were controlling a fire that started in a wooded area close to propane tanks. One of the tanks exploded, shooting flames toward firefighter Scott Patten.
Police Chief Stacey Mahan posted the video of the explosion, which was captured on his body camera.
The explosion knocked Mahan and another firefighter to the ground, but Patten was able to walk away.
Patten was treated for first- and second- degree burns at the hospital and released the next day.
