2 Chicago firefighters hurt battling warehouse fire

They were taken to a hospital with minor injuries; officials said they may have been hurt when something fell on them

CHICAGO — Two firefighters suffered minor injuries after a fire broke out in a Back of the Yards warehouse Monday morning, officials said.

Crews responded to the warehouse in the 4300 block of South Packers Avenue about 1:30 a.m., and the fire was struck out three hours later.

The firefighters were taken to Holy Cross Hospital with minor injuries. A department spokesman said they may have been hurt when something fell on them.
