ORLANDO, Fla. — WonderWorks, a science-driven attraction on Orlando’s International Drive, is offering discounts to Florida residents and free admission to first responders for a limited time.
International Drive attraction WonderWorks will give free admission to first responders through October. There’s a shorter-term deal for Florida residents in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
The deals are in response to Hurricane Irma, which disrupted life in the Sunshine State.
The offer to Florida residents runs through Saturday, Sept. 16. General admission and tickets to the attraction’s Outta Control Dinner Show will be $12 per person with a valid Florida ID.
General admission is typically $29.99 ($19.99 for ages 4 to 12).
Florida first responders—including firefighters, EMT, law-enforcement officers and energy company employees—can get free tickets for themselves and five additional guests to the attraction. The final day for this deal will be Oct. 31.
In addition, WonderWorks will donate 10 percent of all cafe profits to the Red Cross hurricane relief efforts.
The attraction is notable along International Drive because it is housed in a building that appears to be upside down. Along with 100 hands-on activities, WonderWorks features laser tag and a glow-in-the-dark ropes course.
In addition to Orlando, there are WonderWorks locations in Panama City Beach; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; and Syracuse, N.Y.
