BRIDESBURG, Pa. — A firefighter was injured while battling a three-alarm fire at a three-story warehouse Thursday night.
6ABC reported that firefighters saw heavy flames shooting through the roof of the building upon arrival.
“We happened to look over, and it was this big a ball of orange coming from the building,” resident Carmen DeJesus said. “The whole building was like pouring out with fire.”
A second alarm was struck in less than 10 minutes and third right after.
“The wall was burning and then the roof collapsed, and then you heard a big boom and it all went up in flames,” 14-year-old Kyle Diffield, who was being evacuated from the Boys and Girls Club next door, said.
A firefighter was treated on scene for minor injuries.
Fire officials will be monitoring hot spots that may flare up throughout the day.
