Woman rescued after colliding with Detroit fire truck

The firefighters jumped out of the truck after the crash and extricated the woman from her vehicle

DETROIT —Firefighters freed a woman after her vehicle collided with a fire truck that was en route to a call.

Detroit News reported that the Detroit Fire Department crew was responding to a house fire call when the woman’s vehicle collided with the rig. They jumped out of the truck and had to extricate the woman from her vehicle. The extrication took about 10 minutes, according to Deputy Fire Commissioner Dave Fornell.

The woman was transported to the hospital with multiple fractures and was reported in serious condition.
